PRACTICAL TIME MANAGEMENT FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
The life of a modern person is multitasking: one has to do routine, carry out everyday obligations, perform tasks aimed at fulfilling desires and dreams.
To complete everything on time and in high quality, we need to have various skills. And one of the most important skills is the ability to plan.
The life experience of successful people shows that the time spent on the preparation of the plan leads to a reduction in the time to complete the tasks, this leads to an overall saving of our time.
Therefore the school psychologist Oksana Ivanova taught 10th and 11th graders three effective planning tools:
- “Kanban” – a visual development system that shows what needs to be done, when and to what extent. The method is based on the Toyota production system method of the same name and economical manufacturing.
- The Eisenhower Matrix is one of the time management methods for prioritizing daily routine.
- The Wheel of Life Balance method is a methodology for analyzing and planning life.
Students tested the proposed toolkit carrying out practical exercises. The idea of this lesson originates from innovative educational practice for high school students – technology of life planning. Indeed, the ability to manage time in modern world is really important and significant!
